FAQ

Why use a face mask in your routine?

A face mask is an essential part of any skincare routine. Enriched with targeted active ingredients, it provides intensive care to address specific skin needs.

1. Targeted and intense action

Face masks are formulated to address specific concerns: hydration, exfoliation, radiance, purification, anti-aging, or soothing. They concentrate powerful active ingredients for visible results in a short time.

2. A relaxing and beneficial experience

Applying a face mask is a relaxing moment that encourages self-care. It allows you to disconnect from daily stress while providing your skin with deep nourishment.

3. Sublime skin in no time

Whether it's before an important event or to revive a tired complexion, a face mask acts as a real boost. In just a few minutes, skin appears more radiant, hydrated, and revitalized.

4. A complementary step to your routine

In addition to daily care such as cleansing, serum and cream, the mask optimizes the benefits of your routine by enhancing the effects of other products.

How to choose the right mask?

  • For dry skin: Opt for a moisturizing mask based on hyaluronic acid or aloe vera.
  • For oily or combination skin: A purifying mask with clay, green tea or charcoal helps reduce excess sebum and imperfections.
  • For sensitive skin: Choose a soothing mask with extracts of chamomile or centella asiatica.

Recommended routine

Use a mask 1 to 2 times a week after cleansing and before your usual skincare routine. Leave on as directed, then rinse or massage in any excess, depending on the type of mask.

Why shouldn't you dry clay on your face?

You should not let a clay mask dry on your face as this can have counterproductive effects on the skin.

The three phases of a clay mask :

  1. Wet phase : When the mask is still wet, the clay penetrates the pores, absorbing excess sebum, toxins and impurities.
  2. Intermediate phase : The mask begins to dry and stimulates blood circulation. It is during this phase that the benefits are at their maximum.
  3. Dry phase : The mask hardens completely, which can lead to dehydration and skin irritation.

The risks of letting the clay dry completely :

  • Skin dehydration : As it dries, clay can absorb not only excess sebum but also your skin's natural moisture, leaving it dry and uncomfortable.
  • Irritation : Clay that is too dry can cause tightness and sensitize fragile skin.
  • Rebound effect : In response to excessive dehydration, your skin may produce more sebum, worsening shine or blemishes.

Usage tip :

  • Apply an even layer of the mask and monitor its texture.
  • To prolong the wet phase, you can spray a little thermal water or toner during the application.
  • Rinse it as soon as it starts to lighten or become drier at the edges, before it cracks completely.

Therefore, to fully enjoy the benefits of clay without risking drying out your skin, respect the recommended application time and avoid the total drying phase.
